For several years now, the state has been promoting Russia as a unique civilization with its own traditional spiritual and moral values. This monograph is a series of interconnected essays on history, philosophy, and law, designed to critically examine this policy. Specifically, the author analyzes whether it is correct to consider Russia a distinct civilization, what its characteristics are, whether there are distinctive traditional Russian values, and what exactly should be considered as such.
